Last week, we had the honour of welcoming the MV Ultra Dedication to Fredericia, Denmark, which is home to our largest office. The vessel arrived on Tuesday, August 6th, to load scrap destined for discharge in Diliskelesi, Turkey. This Ultra Dedication visit provided an excellent opportunity for several Ultrabulk teams to visit the vessel and engage in valuable, face-to-face interactions.
The Operations team focused on enhancing overall operational efficiency during the Ultra Dedication visit. Their visit centred on addressing and resolving operational matters directly with the crew, fostering collaboration, and improving communication.
The Performance team also visited the Ultra Dedication, with a primary objective of maintaining a positive and proactive dialogue with the crew. Their discussions focused on optimising fuel consumption through effective equipment management, crew behaviour, and workflow improvements. During this visit, an Energy Saving Device (ESD) was successfully installed and implemented on the vessel, marking a significant step towards further reducing environmental impact.
The Ultra Dedication visit was both productive and successful, with the crew actively engaging with our teams. They provided a comprehensive and detailed tour of the vessel, generously sharing their expertise and insights. This collaborative effort not only strengthened cooperation between the crew and our teams but also contributed to the ongoing enhancement of operational and environmental performance.
