Ultrabulk Family Days brought around 600 guests to Nordhavn Terminal in Copenhagen for a weekend filled with insights, activities and memorable moments. The event gave employees, business partners and their families a unique chance to step on board MV Ultra Dedication – a Supramax dry bulk carrier built in Japan in 2018.
The vessel underwent a major transformation during dry dock in 2023 to improve environmental performance. Guests learned about the upgrades made to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, including a high-performance hull coating, LED lighting, Trim Optimisation software, and ultrasonic propeller protection – all supporting Ultrabulk’s decarbonisation efforts.
On shore, the terminal was full of engaging activities for all ages – from knot tying, games and creative stations to an exhibition tracing Ultrabulk’s history and the evolution of navigation tools. The youngest visitors proudly wore sailor hats and received diplomas after stepping on board the vessel. Others enjoyed food, crêpes and coffee while exploring both the ship and the story behind it.
Ultrabulk Family Days are about sharing what we do with the people around us – opening up our workplace and bringing our community closer to the world of shipping.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the weekend such a success.
