The shipping industry has historically been male dominated, but Ultrabulk has been steering towards positive change in promoting gender diversity in shipping. We are committed to creating a diverse workplace that embraces individuals from various cultural backgrounds, nationalities, and promotes a more equal gender representation. As proud participants in Danish Shipping’s initiative, Charter for More Women in Shipping, we actively contribute to shaping a more equal gender representation in the industry.
In 2023, we achieved a significant milestone by breaking the gender curve in our new hires. The ratio ended at 68% women and 32% men. Reflecting the development of the industry, our 2023 hires showcase a rising number of talented women joining the maritime workforce.
